The Fall 2016 Texas A&M Engineering Career Fair is very soon on September 6th-7th! This letter provides important logistics regarding the event to help you prepare for the fair if you are currently registered for the Career Fair. If attending, please pass this information on to all of your company representatives who will be attending.
Recruiter Names: Please confirm that you have recorded the names for all attending company representatives on our website. This will ensure that nametags are available at the Fair Check-in. In order to update recruiter names, sign into your account on this website on the right side of the page with the gold button, and click on the “Edit Registration” link.
Shipping: Please ship your booth materials to arrive at Reed Arena the week of August 29th-September 2nd, and we will have your boxes waiting at your booth when you arrive. Send booth materials to the address listed below. Note: There is no street number associated with “Olsen Blvd.”
Reed Arena Loading Dock
ATTN: SEC Career Fair - [Company Name]
College Station, TX 77843-1128
After the fair each day, FedEx and UPS shipping are available from the loading dock. If you prefer to use a different vendor, you are responsible for making those arrangements. We recommend bringing pre-printed labels for post fair shipping to expedite this process.
Parking: Free recruiter-only parking will be available in the “Fan Field” parking area less than two minutes away from Reed Arena. It is located across from Lot 111 on Research Parkway – see the map at the bottom of this letter. Free shuttles will run from 6:30am- 9:30am and 3:00pm- 5:00pm to transport recruiters to/from the parking lot and the fair entrance at Reed Arena's Loading Dock.
A regular university bus route runs throughout the day (Route 05), and recruiters are welcome to utilize this free service for travel. Parking in any lot other than the designated recruiter lot will be subject to a parking ticket.
A number of paid parking options are still available if you would like to keep your car closer to the arena. Please follow the link below to see the University's parking options. Pay-to-park spots are designated with a white "P" encompassed in a royal blue square. Note: the Student Engineers' Council is NOT liable for any parking fees or citations incurred while attending the fair. Please do not park in Reed Arena's Loading Dock or Lot 100 at any time, as you may be ticketed and/or towed.
Check-in: Check-in is located inside the Reed Arena Loading Dock and is available on:
Monday, 09/05/16 from 2:00pm – 5:00pm
Tuesday, 09/06/16 from 7:00am – 9:00am
Wednesday, 09/07/16 from 7:00am – 9:00am
For companies attending both days, check-in is only required once. At check-in, you will receive a recruiter booklet, which contains important information regarding the fair. If you check-in on Monday, September 5th, please visit the loading dock for a temporary parking permit for Lot 100E next to Reed Arena.
Hospitality: There will be a complimentary full breakfast served to all recruiters on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 6th and 7th, from 7:00am- 9:00am in the Reed Arena Practice Gym. Beverages and light snacks will be available during the exhibition hours in the Hospitality Room. The Hospitality Room is located on the Reed Arena floor level. Hot Lunch will be served between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Companies with two recruiters or less will also have the option of eating a sandwich box lunch. Complimentary massages will also be available throughout the day on the second floor in Room 201. It is recommended to make appointments for a massage in order to guarantee a spot.
Welcome Social: The Welcome Social will be held from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on Monday, September 5th at the Memorial Student Center Bethancourt Ballroom. Check-in will begin at 6:00pm outside the Bethancourt Ballroom. If you would like a closer option, you can pay to park in the Koldus Parking Garage (UCX) crossing Joe Routt Blvd across the street from the MSC. Please refer to the parking map at the bottom of the page again. If you would like to attend the Welcome Social and are not yet registered, please log in to your account and click on the “Edit Registration” link. There is a $25 fee for all non-Silver, non-Gold, and non-Platinum sponsor company representatives.
